Prolato Internship Program
Hands-on experience in clinical research — for high school students, college students, and future coordinators. Every program is a real, unpaid educational placement inside an active research site, not a shadow-only tour.
Programs at a Glance
High School Clinical Research Intensive
One week each spring, by school partnership and staff referral only. Students rotate through departments alongside a different staff member each day, then earn a certificate of completion.
Requires a signed internship agreement and parent media release.College Clinical Research Externship
2 weeks per session, offered twice each summer. Covers the full study lifecycle — regulatory setup, patient recruitment, and coordinator shadowing — for undergraduate and pre-health students.
CRC Shadowing & Training
For recent graduates pursuing a clinical research coordinator career, and current Prolato staff developing toward a coordinator role. Structured shadowing, GCP training, and a defined path forward — scheduled individually.
A Few Things to Know
- All programs are unpaid, educational experiences.
- Each tier runs on a fixed annual intake — there are no rolling or ad-hoc placements.
- Interns work from open desks only; staff workspaces are reserved for staff.
- Every participant must sign an internship agreement and media release before their first day.
